Dressing Up the World


Last night's stream was quiet but productive. 

While the systems are coming into place for the game, the game world doesn't exactly scream "lived in" yet. Part of that is that I had to disable other flying cars ("commuters" in my game code) in order to test some of the other core mechanics. Part of that is that there's just not much in the city. And for a game that is going to tell the story of this world via environmental storytelling, that simply won't do. Also, as I start to build out the world as more of a vertical slice, it should be interesting to look at and not quite as sterile.  

   

 

Doing art is fun, but there are definitely more pressing things to do - now that I've worked out some of my art impulses, I think it's time to get back to the meat of the game.
